Hello good people, today i will to tell you about one of Museum in Bali. Bali Museum Denpasar is located on Mayor Wisnu Street in Denpasar with it’s location exist in the strategic area right in the center of Denpasar City, easy to locate from any directions and there are important or famous points located close by. Bali Museum is one of the museums in Bali collecting the ancient objects related to the history of Bali Island generally. The existence of this museum is very important to preserve the ancient and historical objects that have a noble culture values and a legacy of Balinese ancestors. The museum was built in 1931 by architect P.J. Moojen, near the location of the former royal palace of Denpasar, which had been burnt to the ground during the Dutch intervention in Bali (1906), and used it as a model for its outside walls and courtyards.
There are four main buildings inside the museum, Tabanan displaying theatrical masks and musical instruments, Karangasem sculptures and paintings, Buleleng textiles, and Timur with archeological finds.
It is located on the east side of the central square of Denpasar, Taman Puputan.
Bali Museum is a local museum collecting the old prehistoric and historic objects related to Bali Island to preserve the local cultures from modern influences. It is strategically located in Major Wisnu Street of Denpasar Bali right in the heart of Denpasar City. There is a glorious temple of Jagatnatha located in the north side of museum, meanwhile in front of it were set the Puputan Badung (Badung Courtyard) and four face statue (Catur Muka Statue). The development of Bali Museum is begun by the existence of initiative how to vitally the heritage of Balinese culture and taking care of, preserve and maintaining. The initiative is based on the existence of feeling to worry, that there is symptom a kind of culture erosion, so that the cultural heritage become totally disappeared, lose, what omit only photograph and documentations.
The object collections which are kept in Bali Museum can be classified become the prehistoric object collection like: the Grave Petrify (sarkopag), the object collection coming from history era like: stupika clay containing superstitious formula Ye Te, the bronze statues (Hindu and Budha statues) and ethnography object collection like Keris, Endek Cloth, and religious ceremony equipment (Sangku, Cecepan and Sidakarya mask).
